To ease into holiday mode, the DFL team set out on a good old-fashioned tasca rally through the neighborhood around the lab — food, laughs, and absolutely no spreadsheets in sight.
The kick-off was at Coqueluche, indulging in crispy rissóis, golden cod fritters, and juicy bifanas, all paired with some seriously refreshing drinks. Next, the team wandered over to the Carlos Alberto area for round two at the legendary Tasca Expresso. On the table: warm soup, bold rojões sandwiches, and a generous dose of presunto. Dessert was a no-brainer. There was a mandatory stop at the iconic Cincelo for some much-needed gelato (the heat was real). And to wrap it all up, a final espresso at Leitaria da Quinta do Paço — though by around 5 p.m., a few irresistible éclairs had also mysteriously vanished.
It was a epic afternoon filled with sunshine, good food, and even better company — a proper team bonding moment. One thing’s certain: this will be done again. Now, enjoy the break — the DFL team will be back in September, rested and ready to roll.
