Stereotomy is a subject with old traditions in architecture, in which the construction technique depends on accurate drafting, cutting and assembly of blocks, which gets translated into a specific building language. With the opportunity of application of new digital technologies in the field of architecture, engineering and construction, stereotomy finds real possibilities of contemporary application as a practical and theoretical subject. The interpreted recovery of vaults in built heritage situations is a subject of research, in which the stereotomic design exploration is fueled by the possibilities of digital design and fabrication.
